Colonel Dennis P. Tucker is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 75, San Diego State University, California. He is responsible for recruiting, educating, training, motivating, selecting, and commissioning officer candidates through a comprehensive college program. He provides academic instruction on fundamental Air Force doctrine, practical leadership experience, and extensive field training emphasizing physical fitness and officership to prepare future officers for active duty.

Colonel Tucker was commissioned in 1991 through the AFROTC program at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. He has commanded at the squadron and group levels and has experience in intercontinental ballistic missile, theater ballistic missile warning, air operation center, and Air Force recruiting operations. He is a space weapons officer, Community College of the Air Force certified instructor, and Air Force strategist who has instructed numerous warfighters on the employment of air and space power at the operational level of war, forged Air Force doctrine, and shaped long range strategy for the Air Force.

Colonel Tucker served as a Strategy Planner and Chief of the Space Specialty Team in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE immediately after 9/11 in the 1st Air Force Air Operation Center. He has served on the staffs of Headquarters Air Force Doctrine Center, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, and Headquarters Air Education and Training Command (AETC) as Executive Officer to the Commander. Col Tucker has also served at Headquarters U.S. Air Force as the Senior Deputy Chief of the Concepts, Strategy, and Wargaming Division. He is a distinguished graduate of Air Command and Staff College, and a graduate of both the Air Force Weapons School and the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Before assuming his current duties, he served as Commander, 372d Recruiting Group, Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
